Enforcements
Unlike Extended Producers Responsibility and Plastic Packaging Tax, there are currently no fees or
taxes charged on a business following PPWR Compliance.
Penalties For Non-Compliance
• National enforcement measures: expected by 12 February 2027.
• Effective, proportionate, and dissuasive penalties.
Fines and Legal Measures
• Penalties may include “administrative 昀椀nes”.
• A failure to consistently comply may result in products being
banned from the market.
